Convert 3G2 to BMP Sequence

The BMP file format, also known as bitmap image file or Device Independent Bitmap (DIB) file format or simply a bitmap, is a raster graphics image file format used to store bitmap digital images, independently of the display device (such as a graphics adapter), especially on Microsoft Windows and OS/2 operating systems. The BMP is stored uncompressed; so it's a lossless image format, but file size is very big.

3G2 to BMP Converter Software converts 3G2 to BMP sequence files. With the software, you could get every frame image of 3G2 in BMP format. The converter software also supports other output image formats such as JPG, PNG, and TIFF. You can convert only a part of 3G2 to BMP instead of the entire file. And you can set how many frames per second to be extracted with the software. The output BMP files look something like this.

BMP Sequence Files

The software also supports other formats and portable devices such as ALAC (Apple Lossless), MPA, OGM, Windows Phone, VOB (DVD Video), AIFF, MKA, etc. The software could convert WMV to AIFF, MOV to BMP image sequence, DIVX to MP2, DVR-MS to Android Tablet, RM to SPX (Speex), and so on.

3G2 to BMP Software supports batch conversion and, is compatible with Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000.

3G2 to BMP Sequence Converter Software is compatible with Windows 8, 7, Vista, XP, 2008, 2003, and 2000

What is 3G2?
Audio/video format developed by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2); designed for transmitting multimedia files over the Internet; basically an updated version of the .3GP format used by cell phones for saving video files. The 3G2 specification also defined some enhancements to 3GPP Timed Text. 3G2 is based on the MPEG-4 standard which was derived from Apple's QuickTime. QuickTime 6.5 includes support for key components of the 3GPP2 specification. Once you move a video from cell phone to your PC, the easiest way to play it is to use Apple's QuickTime Player. You can easily view your 3G2 videos on your cell phone. The 3G2 is a simpler version of the MP4 format which is also used on many cellphones. Because the internet speed on cell phones is slower than most home internet connections, 3G2 videos are highly compressed and are usually lower resolution that videos you would normally watch on your computer. It is very similar to the 3GP file format, but has some extensions and limitations in comparison to 3GP. For the storage of MPEG-4 media (MPEG-4 Part 2, MPEG-4 Part 3 - AAC, MPEG-4 Part 10 - H.264/AVC) in 3G2 files, the 3G2 specification refers to the MP4 file format and the AVC file format specification, which described usage of this content in the ISO base media file format. 3G2 comprises North American and Asian interests developing global specifications for ANSI/TIA/EIA-41 Cellular Radiotelecommunication Intersystem Operations network evolution to 3G and global specifications for the radio transmission technologies (RTTs) supported by ANSI/TIA/EIA-41. The 3G2 file type is primarily associated with '3GPP2'. 3GPP2 is the new worldwide standards for the creation, delivery and playback of multimedia over 3rd generation, high-speed wireless networks.

What is BMP?
A bitmap (BMP) file is a digital image file format that is used in digital photography and certain applications, such as Microsoft Paint. Essentially meaning "map of bits," bitmap files are usually larger than other image files types. The reason for the larger size is that they lack the compression of other file types, such as JPEG. A DIB is an external format, in contrast to a device-dependent bitmap, which appears in the system as a bitmap object. A DIB is normally transported in metafiles (usually using the StretchDIBits() function), BMP files, and the Clipboard (CF_DIB data format). The BMP file format, sometimes called bitmap or DIB file format (for device-independent bitmap), is an image file format used to store bitmap digital images, especially on Microsoft Windows and OS/2 operating systems. Indexed color images may be compressed with 4-bit or 8-bit RLE or Huffman 1D algorithm. OS/2 BITMAPCOREHEADER2 24bpp images may be compressed with the 24-bit RLE algorithm. The 16bpp and 32bpp images are always stored uncompressed. Note that images in all color depths can be stored without compression if so desired. The purpose of the color palette in indexed color bitmaps is to inform the application about the actual color that each of these index values corresponds to. When the size of gap1 and gap2 is zero, the in-memory DIB data structure is customarily referred to as "packed DIB" and can be referred to by a single pointer pointing to the beginning of the DIB header. The following sections discuss the data stored in the BMP file or DIB in detail. This is the standard BMP file format. Some applications create bitmap image files which are not compliant with the current Microsoft documentation. Also, not all fields are used; a value of 0 will be found in these unused fields.
