What is MOD?
MOD and TOD are recording formats for use in digital tapeless camcorders. High definition video is stored in MPEG-2 transport stream container files with TOD extension; in most other systems these files have M2T extension. Depending on the make and model of your digital camcorder, your home videos may be saved as MOD files. Media files must be packaged into distribution formats like HD DVD or Blu-ray Disc, using authoring software. As of 2011, MOD format is still being used in standard definition camcorders manufactured by JVC, Panasonic and Canon. The formats are comparable to XDCAM EX, HDV and AVCHD. Panasonic unveiled the SDR-S100, which recorded to SD cards. The encoding scheme, data rate, frame rate and frame size closely matched parameters of DVD-video. Some video decoders do not interpret the aspect ratio information in the media file header correctly, so 16:9 video may appear squeezed horizontally when viewed. The first camcorders that used MOD format appeared in 2003. JVC introduced the Everio GZ-MG30, which recorded directly to an internal hard disk drive. If you have a JVC video camera or camcorder, you might want to save and view video clips on your personal computer. MOD files can be opened and exported to a different video file format using the software included with the digital camcorder. There are also third-party tools for modifying the wide-screen aspect ratio information in the media file header so that it satisfies decoders which would otherwise fail to interpret this information correctly in an unmodified MOD file. Each file has a sequential name with last three characters comprising a hexadecimal number, which allows for 4096 unique file names.

What is iPhone?
iPhone is a smartphone made by Apple that combines an iPod, a tablet PC, a digital camera and a cellular phone. The device includes Internet browsing and networking capabilities. The iPhone can enlarge text to make it more accessible for vision-impaired users, and can accommodate hearing-impaired users with closed captioning and external TTY devices. The iPhone 3GS also features white on black mode, VoiceOver (a screen reader), and zooming for impaired vision, and mono audio for limited hearing in one ear. Apple regularly publishes Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates which explicitly state compliance with the US regulation "Section 508". On January 11, 2011, Verizon announced during a media event that it had reached an agreement with Apple and would begin selling a CDMA2000 iPhone 4. Verizon said it would be available for pre-order on February 3, with a release set for February 10. Regardless of the source, saved recordings may be synced to the host computer, attached to email, or (where supported) sent by MMS. Videos may be uploaded to YouTube directly. Version 3.1 required iTunes 9.0, and iOS 4 required iTunes 9.2. iTunes 10.5, which is required to sync and activate iOS 5, the current version of iTunes, Requires Mac OS X 10.5.8 or Leopard on G4 or G5 computers on 800 MHz or higher; versions 10.3 and 10.4 and 10.5-10.5.7 are no longer supported. The iPhone 4 has an aluminosilicate glass front and back with a stainless steel edge that serves as the antennas. It was at first available in black; the white version was announced, but not released until April 2011, 10 months later. While reception to the iPhone 5 has been generally positive, the new Maps application has been negatively received and was reported to contain many serious errors. Several hardware issues have also received criticism from consumers and reviewers, including an unintended purple hue in photos taken by the iPhone 5 and an issue with its coating being prone to chipping. In addition, there have been a small number of reports claiming a light leak around the bezel near the top of the display on white models. Also, some incompatibilities with certain LTE networks are an issue, despite being the first Apple phone to support LTE.
