What is AVI?
AVI stands for Audio Video Interleave, defined by Microsoft. AVI format is one of the oldest video formtas. Recent files might be compressed with one or another codecs (like DivX and XviD). It can also be seen with VLC Player, MPlayer, The KMPlayer. Some of the limitations of AVI in modern use relate to a lack of standardization in this metadata (see Limitations below). An AVI file may carry audio/visual data inside the chunks in virtually any compression scheme, including Full Frame (Uncompressed), Intel Real Time (Indeo), Cinepak, Motion JPEG, Editable MPEG, VDOWave, ClearVideo / RealVideo, QPEG, and MPEG-4 Video. For WAV audio files, Broadcast Wave extensions were designed to standardize post-production metadata, but an equivalent for AVI files has not emerged. One of the first terms a digital video freshman gets to know is codec. AVI and codec are inseparable. So now there are hundreds of avi files that look similar but are completely different inside. It can also be seen with QuickTime and RealPlayer (available for the Mac). In particular, the Indeo CODEC, popular for video compression on PCs, has not been ported to Mac OS X. Like the DVD video format, AVI files support multiple streaming audio and video, although these features are seldom used. The AVI container has no native support for modern MPEG-4 features like B-Frames. Most AVI files also use the file format extensions developed by the Matrox OpenDML group in February 1996. These files are supported by Microsoft, and are unofficially called "AVI 2.0". There has been confusion over AVI files since QuickTime added support for such. There are several competing approaches to including a time code in AVI files, which affects usability of the format in film and television post-production, although it is widely used.

What is iPad?
The iPad is classified as a tablet computer, also known simply as a tablet. These mobile computers are typically larger than the average mobile phone, smartphone or personal digital assistant, yet smaller than the average laptop computer. They often integrate a flat multi-touch display, and use onscreen virtual keyboards as opposed to a physical keyboard. The iPad showcases all of these hallmarks, without the need for stylus pens that some tablets may require. The first iPad was released on April 3, 2010; the most recent iPads, the fourth-generation iPad and iPad Mini, were released on November 2, 2012. The best thing about iPad is that you can do these all things and more better then you do these at any Laptop or mobile phone. Because its not smaller like a mobile phone and not bigger like a laptop. But its in between these two yet still thin and light weighed. Safari, internet, mail, photos, videos, youtube, iTunes, AppStore, iBooks, maps, notes, calendar, contacts, search and lots more are the key features of an iPad. Its all in here. The iPad comes with several applications, including Safari, Mail, Photos, Video, iPod, iTunes, App Store, iBooks, Maps, Notes, Calendar, and Contacts. Several are improved versions of applications developed for the iPhone or Mac. While the iPad is mostly used by consumers it also has been taken up by business users. Within 90 days of its release, the iPad managed to penetrate 50% of Fortune 100 companies. Some companies are adopting iPads in their business offices by distributing or making available iPads to employees. Examples of uses in the workplace include attorneys responding to clients, medical professionals accessing health records during patient exams, and managers approving employee requests.
